Following the success of our War Machine campaign with Brad Pitt, the Singapore community managers were buried in requests to bring more local celebrities together with A list shows and movies. This style of shoot is not super complicated to pull off, if you can find the right scene to make it work, match the background and intertwine a script that brings in super relatable local humour (without creating a new narrative that strays from the core values of the Netflix series). This shoot at a Singaporean hotel with comedy legend Kumar was excellent - they read the script I wrote, but brought an element of improv to the set which had the local crew in bits. In fact, it took so long to shoot all of the extra material, that the legs and feet in all the close ups are mine, filmed past midnight when everyone else had headed home!
