Having just returned from mat leave, I was thrilled to conceptualise this piece for Tommee Tippee during their “For the love of…” brand launch. This video tied into their “For the love of sleep” messaging - and the goal was to show as many relatable UK settings as we could in one video. Rather than a narrative that would require context, I suggested the simple inclusion of a song to tie the scenes neatly together (a song that we wouldn’t be sued to repurpose!). This was combined with art direction that felt “real” and “everyday” - but not stressful or negative. The balance we struck between creating settings that did feel everyday - affordable homes, a lot of mess - while capturing the warmth and glow-y energy that staring into your baby’s sleeping face brings worked out quite well, and we went onto collaborate frequently with this brand.
