This series of five, 10s videos intertwined puppetry with 2D animation - following a relatively open creative brief from Gojek Singapore to promote the “reliability of Gojek drivers” with some excess social budget they’d found at the back of the store cupboard. After writing the scripts and recording them with the Smalls team in a phone booth, I engaged a puppet designer I’d favourited on IG, and an animator for the characters (which were rotoscoped based on our movements). While not a grand campaign, it’s always nice to receive an open brief and make something that will delight the local market based on local insights and beautiful craftsmanship. This went down a storm on Tiktok and was rolled out for other markets with a shophouse aesthetic.
